I was trapped beneath the ice during a training dive with the Boise Fire Department Dive Team on Jan. 2, 2008. Forced to suffocate myself instead of drown I was successfully resuscitated by my teammates. I dealt with PTSD for about 2 years but now see this event and the subsequent PTSD as a gift, the vehicle by which I realized myself as an artist.
